My podcast partner Aaron and I are in year one of NFBC and TGFBI fantasy baseball leagues. These leagues include fantasy baseball writers and podcasters as well as other fantasy baseball experts. TGFBI is a 15 team league with where each team rosters 30 players. There IS the ability to pick up players on the waiver wire during the season using FAAB (free-agent acquisition budget). We were given pick #11 in the draft. The following is a sketch of our initial strategy at pick #11.

1.11 - (OF) Ronald Acuna Jr.
We were hoping for scenario #1 and felt very fortunate to land him. He was our #1 choice at pick 11 and we would have considered him as high as #2.
2.20 - (3B) Manny Machado
Starling Marte, Mookie Betts and Ozzie Albies went before pick 20 giving us the opportunity to choose between Machado and Yordan Alvarez. We opted for health and position with Machado. He also provides a little speed at third base. We love Yordan but wanted speed and are a bit nervous about his knees holding up.
3.41 - (SS) Francisco Lindor
As stated in the shortstop preview, we expect Lindor to have a bounce back season in New York, approximating his peak Cleveland numbers. We knew from an ADP standpoint it was a little high but we weren't going to get him in round 4 if we waited. Matt Olson and Pete Alonso were on the board at this point, as was good starting pitching (per our plan) but we opted to fill shortstop.
4.50 - (SP) Aaron Nola
Of the starting pitching remaining in this area, Musgrove, Giolito, and Urias had gone in the previous 10 picks and we felt it necessary to get our SP1. Nola was the last of the SP1 we felt comfortable with. He underperformed his pitch metrics in 2021 and we view him as an SP1.
The following is our team through 16 rounds. We will update our thought process soon.
